Abraham Lincoln said, "All that I am, I owe to my dear mother" (or something like that!). My mum taught me many things. She taught me: to sew, to clean, to sing, to play the piano, to cook, to treat my husband like a king, to be compassionate, to be honest, to cry, to laugh, and to be a "lady". She was so adorable yet so fierce.
I was born after three boys with seven years between me and my next sibling. Of course I was my mom's favorite. She was a true mother bear who defended her children no matter what. Don't get in Norma's way. She loved her children and grandchildren. She loved the underdog.
I loved the weekly breadmaking she did. She would make me deliver bread to the widows and widowers in our neighborhood...even though I hated it. She gave perms to the neighbor ladies. It seemed she could do anything.
I could list thousands of things about her. I could tell hundreds of memories. But, I just wanted to scratch the surface and include my mother in my list of the people I "like". You would have liked her too...I'm sure of it.

Love this one too. I am glad that your girls chose such great middle names. :) What a way to honor such wonderful people.
Also, I think you should totally start perming your neighbors' hair. You know, as a tribute to your mom and stuff. :) Mel could hook you up with some product I'm sure.
That is a beautiful photo. Very sweet.
